A-SHOP PROCEDURE
To create an order:
From the A-Shop HomePage you can consult the catalogue and find more than 2000 Alessi products. These are categorised by author and product type.
Choose the product that you want to buy and click on "Buy". In that way you can add the product to "Your Cart".
Now you can choose to either continue to the checkout, or at any time, check the contents of your basket by clicking on the "Your Cart" icon on the left-hand side of the menu.
If you have finished, and you want to settle your purchase, click on "CheckOut" and follow the instructions from "Your Cart". This will bring you to the payment confirmation. At anytime you can go back to the shopping area, or modify the data already given.
To end the purchase, it is necessary to identify yourself by entering your username and password. If you have not logged on before, you can simply fill in an entry form to gain access to this area.

If the entered data is correct, click on "Payment Option" in order to enter your credit card details. The Moneybookers Ltd system will follow you during this operation, and will tell you the positive or negative issue.
We use the Secure Sockets Layer to watch over the safety of all information concerning your online order.
If you require further information on this, we ask you to read our section Safety for your credit card.
Once your payment details have been confirmed, the order will go to ALESSI S.p.A. directly, and you will receive an on-line confirmation.

As soon as the shipment has been completed, an automated e-mail will be sent to you from UPS, detailing your tracking number. A further e-mail from Alessi will also be sent, issuing a copy of the invoice. This has to be kept as a receipt and warranty document.

The sending of the order involves the acceptance of the sales conditions here described and regulated by D.Lgs. 185/1999 of the Italian law.

Attention: ALESSI S.p.A. does not allow the purchase from minors if not supported by the adults.

Product availability:
Available: the ordered products will be sent immediately, after the confirmation by e-mail, see the section Delivery Conditions.
Item not available: the product is out of stock in our warehouse and is therefore not able to be ordered at present.
Quantity not available: the product is available for a lower quantity than the one already specified.

Attention: The images given on this site have a purpose of showing how a particular product will look.
They do not represent in any way a tie or an obligation for the seller.

Duty on the amount:
All given prices include VAT and/or any other duty. The transport cost is excluded, unless otherwise stated. It is important for the customer to check any transport charges, before continuing the purchase.

Attention: there are some products packed in multiple packing. You will find a detailed note in the product description. In this case the price shown and the quantity belongs to the complete packing.

Delivery conditions:
All products are delivered through UPS. There are 2 different standards of delivery available. Each customer can choose which delivery service they prefer.

Standard: UPS service that, in usual conditions, assures the delivery within 4 working days from the date of the order. Deliveries are free of charge for all purchases over € 100,00.

Express: UPS service that, in usual conditions, assures the delivery in 2 working days from the date of the order.

To gain further information about these charges, together with delivery times, we ask you to look at our summarising schedule:

Purchase amount lower than € 100,00 costs € 10,00
Purchase amount higher than € 100,00 transport is free of charge.

UPS Express – delivery in 4/5 working days
Purchase amount lower than € 100,00 costs € 40,00
Purchase amount higher than € 100,00 costs € 30,00.

Attention: no deliveries are possible to a P.O. Box address.

In case of absence of the receiver, UPS will leave a notice for the customer to contact them to organise a more suitable delivery time.

ALESSI S.p.A. refuses any responsibility for the delay of any delivery that can be caused by forces beyond their control (bad weather, difficulty to locate the delivery address and so on). The products are covered by assurance policies stipulated by ALESSI S.p.A. and cover all transportation methods.

If you have not received your order in reasonable time, you should get in contact with customer services. These details can be located online under the section "Contact us".

By following these simple guidelines, our staff will be able to check the progress of your order and confirm with the forwarder the status of your delivery. If it is preferred, it is possible for our shoppers to check the status of their order through UPS directly (please visit www.ups.com for further details)

We remind that deliveries will be suspended every Saturday and Sunday, Italian holidays and during the weeks 1, 33 and last week of the year. All orders during these periods will be dispatched the next available working day.

Attention: It is possible that delays may occur outside these times, especially the weeks leading up to Christmas. To avoid disappointment, please place your order early. The cut off date for Christmas deliveries is week 50.

Upon receipt of your order, we would ask you to thoroughly check that the numbered parcels are indeed the same as those shown on the packing list. Please also check that the packaging has not been damaged or altered in any way.
Should you find something to be wrong, please notify UPS immediately. You also should ask to sign with reserve, writing on the shipping document "I accept with reserve due to…" (for instance damaged package), signing the same document and asking the carrier to countersign.
This procedure is necessary to obtain the responsibility of the carrier for possible damages caused by the transport.

Payment system:
We only accept payments using a credit card.
Your credit card will only be debited when your parcel will be shipped.

RETURNS
Damaged or defective merchandise:
Alessi gives you the right to return the purchased product if it shows some defect, or if it does not relate to your order.

If you want to return the product you must inform Alessi within 10 days of receipt. You can contact us either by going online on A-Shop and clicking on the "Contact us" icon.

Attention: ALESSI is only obliged to repair or replace defective products.

When we receive your request to return your items, our staff will authorise this by sending you an e-mail detailing how the item/s can be returned. You will receive a return's authorisation number, which must be clearly written on the outside of the parcel.

Please note that any returned items should be carefully packed in the original packing, and put together with all accessories and instruction booklets that were originally included.

Please note that ALESSI S.p.A. will arrange a shipment by UPS and at the same time, a new product will be shipped out.

Attention: ALESSI S.p.A. will not accept any responsibility for damage that has occurred during transportation. We will not accept responsibility for any package that has been tampered with, or any product that does not carry a warranty.

It is important for the customer to put all the original packing, together with the product, into a suitable package for shipping. This is in order to protect the original product from any further damage, inscription or alteration. ALESSI S.p.A. asserts the right to refuse the received goods and to debit the customer for transport charges.

Attention: returned goods without any authorisation given by Alessi S.p.A., without any reference number, or parcels sent COD (cash on delivery), will not be accepted.

Conditions and rights for receding:
If you, for some reason, are not satisfied with the purchased product, you have to inform ALESSI S.p.A. within 30 days of receipt, using the contact form shown in the section "Contact us"

When we receive your request to return your unwanted items, our staff will authorise this by sending you an e-mail detailing how the item/s can be returned. You will also receive a return's authorisation number, which must be clearly written on the outside of the parcel.

Please note that any returned items should be carefully packed in the original packing, and put together with all accessories and instruction booklets that were originally included.

Please note that the shipping costs are at your charge.

Attention:
- It is not possible to change an Alessi product purchased in a store or through a site different from this one with the procedure described above.
- For items that have been received as a gift, and are unwanted, any return must be returned by the original purchaser in order to receive a full refund. This will be issued as a credit to the credit card
- In the event of a customer refusing delivery, any such item will be treated as a return, and the order will be sent to our warehouse. The refund will be the value of the product, together with any relative taxes.

If ALESSI S.p.A. will not give you a written confirmation of your order, the time to return the good back will be 3 months from the receipt of the parcel (art.4 D.Lgs. 185/99).

Italian law controls these general conditions, together with the sale agreement. Any hearing may be held in the Court of Verbania (Italy).
